1 For years I let people tell me I was useless, that I couldn’t make any decisions for myself and that I couldn’t fix or build or create anything real. Living out here on the farm I’ve been forced to push myself and I’ve learned I’m a lot more capable than I was lead to believe. Fuck the unbelievers in your life. You’re as strong and ready you want.

2 New things. The collaboration with Andrew Mears won’t be out for a while. Much later this year. The book will be out who knows when. 2056? My record Trailerparks is out next week. I can’t tell you how excited I am. The week before a record comes is always crazy and weird and I’m right in the middle of it. We’ll have it for you on Tuesday. Fuck yeah.

3 I want nothing more than to be as strong as I can be.

4 Trying to put “everything you have” into a book is the fun part.

5 I finally have a plan to get to England this summer.

6 The Heart is a Lonely Hunter really is a great book like everyone says. I’m 20 pages away from finishing it. Then it’s on to Steinbeck’s East of Eden and a one-book collection of McCarthy’s “Border Trilogy” novels. Hemingway’s The Garden of Eden was one of his best. Knocked that one off last week.

7 I grow things with my own hands now and it feels right.

8 I would kill for a glass of whiskey and ice right now.
